With this tutorial, you can use any image and make it text.
This is not a good way imo. very destructive, and your text gets ugly edges (aliased)...
The best way is to place the picture layer on top of the text layer (NOT rasterized). Now with the picture layer still selected, go to "layer->Create clipping mask". Done.
(shortcut alt-ctrl-g on pc, or click between layers while holding down alt-key)
Why this method is better:
- Faster
- You can still edit the text (not destructive)
- Text keeps the correct anti-aliasing on edges
- You can still edit the picture (e.g. change position)
- You can place several layers 'inside' the text if you want to do something more advanced.
This video tutorial is very misleading to beginners. I have a tutorial on using clipping masks in my profile, but Chain83 has a real good description.

After rasterizing the text,
1) SELECT -> LOAD SELECTION
2) Press delete key (the background image should show thru the text)
3) SELECT -> INVERSE
4) Click on Background layer
5) Hit delete...done!
