Can Your Computer Run Windows Vista????

  • !!!!!!!!!! CAUTION !!!!!!!!!! EVERYONE...

Windows Vista, the new computer operating system that Microsoft is claiming is the most secure ever, contains a programming flaw that might let hackers gain full controll of computers!
Attackers with low-level access privileges could theoretically use the flaw to bump up their status, ultimately gaining system control.
The flaw affects older Windows systems too, so it looks as if Windows XP is the safest way to go. (for now)
If you have not installed Vista, don't, but if you have, find and use your virus/ spyware sweeper A.S.A.P!!

    • You're wrong!

I use Windows Vista every day, and it never crashed or had any problems. For me, Windows Vista is the best OS ever! (with Mac OS X Leopard)

    • right now yes...

but they still have a good month before their release. on top of that i have been running it and testing with it since alpha 1 right now i'm on a computer with the RTM copy. everything is fine. yes there are some security holes but there always will be. it is a constant battle. i also recomend antivirus software. but its always recomended anyways. because it is a costant battle. it does have increaced overal security mainly because it will always ask the user about alowing an aplication that accesses vital information to continue.

for the rest its a great OS but if you dont think you need it. If you dont need DX10 for example just stick with XP for now. because i have found there to be alot of compatibility isues that still need to be resolved

  • Windows Vista

has a completly new interface for windows and quite a few additional features. Like anything new that comes from microsoft it will have many bugs (Just wait and see how many patches and updates they will release for vista). Take internet explorer 7.0 for example, they fixed some things in 6 but made some other features worse!
