Remove the top glass portion of a beer bottle without breaking the rest of the bottle and without spilling its contents. You can use this as a nice bar trick, or as a bet.

It seems everyone's been rating it low, but it gets 5 stars from me. I never knew this trick, and I'm anxious to try although I don't drink beer.

I can knock the bottom out of a beer bottle..ofcourse the contents spill but thats not the point. Fill up the bottle to the bottom of neck, use open palm to hit the bottle opening which forces air into the bottle and blows out the bottom.

  there might be slivers of glass in yer beer. (or champagne) odds are it could hurt on the way in or maybe the way out, but i doubt it would kill ya, and it probably builds character...
  
  I'm pretty sure I'd still drink it, but with all the "safety hype" goin around these days it'd more than likely get you a few dirty looks.

i found this out the hard way...
I accidentally did this drunk off my ass while opening a corona bottle. No butter knife needed, but I do have a permanent scar on my right hand knuckle. Beware, glass actually breaks. WOW!
