Marciano was an Italian-American, born and raised in Brockton, Massachusetts to Pierino Marchegiano and Pasqualina Picciuto. Both of his parents were immigrants from Italy: his father was from Ripa Teatina, Abruzzo, while his mother was from San Bartolomeo in Galdo, Campania. Rocky had three sisters - Alice, Concetta, and Elizabeth - and two brothers - Louis and Peter. When he was about eighteen months old, he contracted pneumonia, from which he almost died.
In his youth, he played baseball, worked out on homemade weightlifting equipment, and used a stuffed mail bag that hung from a tree in his back yard as a heavy bag. He attended Brockton High School, where he played on the American football and baseball teams. However, he was cut from the school baseball team because he had joined a church league, violating a school rule forbidding players from joining other teams. He dropped out of school after finishing tenth grade.
Marciano then worked as a chute man on delivery trucks for the Brockton Ice and Coal Company. He also worked as a ditch digger and as a shoemaker. Rocky was also a resident of Hanson, Massachusetts; the house he lived in still stands on Main Street.
In March 1943, Marciano was drafted into the army for a term of two years. Stationed in Wales, he helped ferry supplies across the English Channel to Normandy. After the war ended, he completed his service in March 1946 at Fort Lewis, Washington.[
This whole fight is a bunch of crap. Not going to say who I think would win but
A.) After refusing to go to vietnam and becoming a muslim Ali became a villian.
B.) Rocky Marciano represented the American dream of being poor and growing up to become a champion.
C.) America was RACIST AS HELL in 1970.
D.) Boxing was being dominated by blacks (the public needed to be reminded that whites can fight too.)
E.) Oh yea the computer that simulated this fight was less advanced then our microwaves

everything on this piece of S**t is stupid from the computer to the critics who thought rocky would win
of course you cant blame the idiots, they didnt expect that ali would come back to clean the heavyweight division again! showing his greatness... leaving no dobt, that if he fought ali in his prime he would´ve been schooled.
Frazier caught clay and dropped him. Marciano and Frazier very similar styles only Marciano could bang harder and had much better endurance. People say that clay would have been too fast and Marciano would have been out boxed. Would clay have been able to run for 15 rounds? I don't think so because the rock would have kept on coming no matter what clay threw at him. I don't think rocky would have knock him out but he would have knocked him down and hurt him enough to force a stoppage.

They are not punching real head punches, some body punches may have been almost real stuff. Rocky was 45, bald and overweight, Ali was too little overweight because he was at the time retired for couple years.
This acted clip was just made so they could cash with this fight. What really matters is that the computer had Rocky Marciano winning over Ali.
