Firstly, I am American. I do not 100% agree with my President's foreign policy, but our leader is NOT satan...That's ridiculous! I understand the world isn't exactly pleased with the United States. My personal opinion is that we should address our own domestic problems and for the most part let the world take care of itself. I am not at all against joining the U.N. in international matters that must be addressed, but my country was too aggressive post 9-11 in regards to Iraq. Should Saddam have been removed from power? Yes. I do not agree with how we went about it. It makes us look like imperialistic bullies. I am not a bully. I love my country and the opportunities here. It does, HOWEVER, really PISS ME OFF when so many people come to the United States for a better life, and they find that, yet we get SLAMMED internationally. You have to understand that the majority of Americans have NO, ZERO, NUNCA, interest is "world domination", imperialism, etc. I just want to live a safe life, have/raise children, worship as I please and respect other's choice of worship. Here's a problem our leaders have. Democracy isn't going to work everywhere in the world. It just isn't. We are a very young country and it works wonderfully here. There are thousands of years of history firmly planted in the lives of people that live in countries all over the world, ESPECIALLY in Europe and the Middle East (and Asia). You just can't throw that way of life and history away and shake the box and expect democracy to work in Iraq. I think under the assumption that a huge majority of Iraqi people are a LOT like me...they want peace and to live lives where they can pursue their interests, have kids, have a good home, etc. The ultra small minority in Iraq appear to be very radical in their religious "absolute-tism" and are tearing that country apart to the point of being on the brink of a terrible civil war (we get our share of blame). Religious factions will not die down. Their hatred for each other, like the hatred between the people of Israel and Palestine, goes back hundreds and thousands of years. Iraq is not going to be a happy country right now. It is not possible. Too much natural internal division...division that was actually held in check (partially) by Saddam himself (of course his radical beliefs ruled, everyone else submitted out of fear). So yes, I do not agree 100% with what is going on, but our leader is not satan. To say that he needs to be executed very much angers me. But, like I said, I do understand how the U.S. is viewed internationally, and I don't like that. As stated, I think we should be pouring money into protecting our country at home...Not totally turning our backs on the world's problems, but not forcing our foreign policy on it either. I just want people outside the U.S. to understand that Americans are good people. We live in a free country and would like for the world to be free/democratic too, but as stated, that just isn't possible...and not only is it not possible, but it's not always the best thing for each country. Honestly, Americans were SHOCKED when we were attacked on 9-11. I know that many people in the world do not live with the daily peace that we enjoy and take for granted...and I think it scared this country...so much so that we are not handling that fear very well. To see Saddam hang for his crimes is very mixed. Should he be punished for his atrocities? Of course. But, I do understand that it's just going to fuel hatred for my country. Elections are coming up and maybe our next leader will help reduce the hatred others have for us. I do think that Americans are aware of how great life is here, and it's something that people naturally want to wish for others in the world to have. Our government isn't going about that in the right way and people hate us. I don't like the fact that people hate us. On forums like this, I wish people would voice they're opinions in a way that helps Americans understand what is going on and how we are being viewed versus "Now it's time to execute George Bush"...The country you are talking about is the same country that offers a VAST amount of aid internationally, that comes to help when natural disasters occur, that helped free millions during WWI and WWII, etc. We are not bad people. I will defend my country 100%, yet at the same time, I am not so close-minded as to not listen to others from outside the states and their opinions. My ex-girlfriend is from Brazil and still lives there and she opened my eyes to a lot of negative opinions regarding the U.S., yet she lived here for a long time and she understands that we are a good country that more times than not means well. As far as the issue of oil, I agree, I am sure it plays are huge part in our involvement with the "war on terror. We are a spoiled country and need to make Herculean strides in becoming more energy-efficient and not dependent on foreign oil. It is killing our foreign policy matters. Here's the deal. For so many years (and it's still happening), lobbyists (people from major industries like oil corporations) in Congress reward/pay/help get elected to begin with (legally, illegally, who knows?) law-makers as a means of influencing policies and laws regarding their industries. Elected officials get use to the perks and what it means for them financially, and honest, hard-working, "wanna do better" Americans suffer. There is NO WAY America should be dependent on foreign oil. Therefore, we should have very little to no interest in Iraq from a resources point of view. Yet we are. Why? Lobbyists. Big Business. You know, the zillionaire who only has 12 houses around the world and he needs 2 more. Who suffers? The world. Farmers here have been using corn/ethanol for years to power their machinery, and now it's slowly catching on regarding commercial vehicles. Ethanol gas stations are popping up. It's a good thing. But, it's too late. It should have happened 10-20 years ago. AND, AMERICANS NEED TO STOP WASTING RESOURCES. It's tough to understand that because when you're raised here and there are luxuries, you get use to them....running the water as you brush your teeth...your teenage kids (I have none and they surely wouldn't do this if I did) cruising the local town street for no good reason wasting gas...We are a country that wastes! Period. It's the truth. That psychology takes time to change. I read the other day that a 25 mile-long sheet of ice broke of in the Arctic. HELLO! United States. Stand up and take a majority of the blame. Global warming. We are the prime contributor. Isn't it a horrible irony that the democracy we seem to want to spread, the freedom, the lifestyle we take for granted, is the source for hatred towards us throughout the world. In order to protect that way of life, we are forced (in our government's eyes) to secure resources like oil, which is unquestionably a reason we are in Iraq, and in doing so we are hated and seen as imperialistic bullies. A lot is riding on the next election of a President here. I hope we do much better than we did the past two times. I would like to be viewed again as a country that is admired, not hated.

The Bible points out that God has a Son, named Jesus, born of the virgin Mary who would be the Savior of the world. It is also depicts a Three-fold personage of God. (The Trinity. Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.)

One angel keeps track of the good and the other keeps track of the bad. In order for a Muslim to gain entry to the courts of Allah, they must have more good than bad. (When the bad outweighs the good, "Jihad" is performed, which is a sacrifice to further the goal of Islam. At least, that's how "Jihad" extremists see it.)

The Christian God, Yahweh, has already paid the price for those sins and therefore requires no further penance or compensation. Instead, all that is asked is obedience and faith to enter the courts of Heaven.

I scoff at the idea that the sanctions killed 500,000 Iraqi children when Saddam build three new palaces with the money he was getting through the “Oil for Food” scandal ($26,000,000,000 Billion). If 500,000 Iraqi children died it was Saddam’s fault, medication wasn’t a sanctioned good and Saddam could afford the medication.

What the war in Iraq and a few other events in recent history has shown is the incompetence of the United Nations. Failing in article 1461 in seeing that Hezbollah left Lebanon in 2000, Failing in Darfur, Failing in Rumalla with the Armanian genocide, Failing in Haiti and Liberia where the UN troops are accused of raping and prostituting childeren. Looking at Iraq and Article 1441 and knowing who was involved in the “Oil for Food Scandal” (France, Germany, Russia, and China) you don’t have to look to far to see the conspiracy we have with this. Which countries didn’t approve of the US going in to Iraq?? If you said France, Germany, Russia, and China you would be correct. If the UN would have used there own troops to enforce their own resolutions there wouldn’t be a war. The US went to the UN twice about article 1441 and the US got the approval to go in under this article... without the UN’s help though.

I just finished my service with the U.S. military, and am thankful not to have gone to Iraq at all. However, my feelings about Iraq and the U.S. (and other nations) presence there has nothing to do with the fact that I feel McKenzie is right on point here. But regardless, it is high time the whole world stop relying on big brother AMERICA to always do what needs to be done, regardless of its own motives in doing it. In fact, it is also high time that the U.S. shut off all charity to the world and help itself and its own poverty stricken people. Let the rest of the world kill itself. And praise God for the melting pot of people who made it inside the U.S. borders in time to help themselves before the U.S. turns its back on the world.

However, something had to be done. You can't please everyone, but it takes a whole new kind of person to stand by and let the evils this man and many others have committed be done without retaliation. Perhaps America didn't have the right to invade Afghanistan or Iraq, perhaps they didn't have the right to silence a strong voice of the Iraqi history, but they did have the right to retaliate to open attacks on their lands.

If a man broke into your house and killed the people you loved, or even stole your most loved possessions, you'd cry out for justice. The question is could you stop at justice, or would you press for revenge?

Bush may not have made the situation in Iraq better overnight, he may not have eliminated terrorism, and he may not have made the world a safer place but what he did do was send a message to the world that terrorism, crimes and heartless leadership will gain you nothing in the end.
