  • Not a good idea

    This is a good guide on how to install HJT but not a very good removal tutorial. By just deleting the registry entry all the malicious files are still residing on your computer. The registry is just a log of what is on your computer. By deleting the registry entry you're only hiding the infection, you need to uninstall programs, delete files or use specific removal tools. This deletes the harmful files and the registry entries also. There are many free computer help websites that you can post your Hijack This log on.

    Given the number of attacks on an average PeeCee you'd have to spend most of your day running the thing instead of working/using the computer. Now THAT's productivity!
