Why keep cats indoors?

Cats face a great many dangers outdoors, including cars, predators, disease, poisonous chemicals and human cruelty. As a result, many outdoor cats die prematurely -- on average they live ten years less than indoor cats. Two out of three vets recommend keeping cats indoors.

Outdoor cats also kill many millions of wild animals every year.
Because they are a non-native predator, it is difficult for wild ecosystems to sustain this level of predation -- some sensitive wild populations have been completely wiped out by outdoor cats.

I agree with this completely! Keep your cat safe and indoors. They can have better, longer lives while kept inside!
