  • WARNING WARNING!!!

    Never download BAT files from the internet and run them. Batch files can be hazardous to your computer and your security if written by the wrong people. I did download the batch file shown in this video and it is harmless. It basically sets a parameter in the registry to allow users to see the "View Source" option.

    Please be careful when watching these videos. Alot of the info can be useful or be a neat party trick, but not everything they tell you to download is safe.

      Lol, yeah you are right PeakSlider.
      However, for future purposes, I'm not the kind of person who'd post that, at least not on this account. So if I say something is safe, you can be inclined to say it is safe. But you don't have to trust me, just test it out carefully, by first opening the file in notepad and reading the code. Thanks PeakSlider for the warning, you help those who aren't very bright with computers.

    Go to notepad and type
    "cmd.exe"
    save as "*.bat"
    Double click and your in...
    I did this at my school where theres no run. =(

    Note: In "*.bat" replace the "*" with what ever you want

      That could work in schools where the restrictions are more leanient and your administrator is potentially an idiot. lol. The main problem with that is that it tries to open the windows command prompt rather than the dos prompt. Usually, the dos prompt is not restricted and I have not yet found any way to restrict it. However, the windows command prompt is restricted for only admin use in many schools. If xXeneXx's "hack" works for you, go for it. But if it doesn't, try this.

    • Well...

      There's probably another way for you to get the file on the computer (e.g. USB or floppy drive). Furthermore there is probably a way for you to bypass your school's security settings and download files at school. However, I wouldn't advise it if you will get in trouble or your school is very strict. Once again, I provide information like this just for knowledge, emergency or help. No one should use it to perform illegal or bad actions going against the rules of the computer's owner.

      But be careful to make a backup of explorer.exe cause if you mess up, it really screws up ur system, and its not easy to get it back to tip top shape.

    • What uses does this have.

      This can be used at your workplace at school (at your own risk) to gain access to the command prompt and then use it to find information about the your workstation or network. Eg. if you're on a network, typing "net use" will list all the virtual drives on the network registered on your station currently and their exact paths on the network. With this you could find files which aren't shown to the general public, but which can be accessed and are not protected.
