  You do want to move flip your wrist at a bit a quick pace.
  
  When you are ready to show grey to black transition, its a really nice effect if that's when you say "let me do this really slow, so you won't miss it", and then just turn your wrist(without twisting the match) ever so slowly. You can build a lot dramatic tension and literally see their eyes open up like saucers. To them, you just did the impossible of changing the color of the match before their eyes, and all you really did was show them the other side.
  
  Cracks me up every time.
  
  You could work it as cheesy icebreaker, pick-up line... hey my girlfriend fell for it, so ts gotta be worth something.
