This song, I honestly wrote out of sheer frustration with myself. I had begun to recognize an ugly pattern in my life, where I would find myself in a difficult circumstance, attempt to fix it myself, try to understand it myself, fail to understand it, become fearful, doubt Gods sovereignty, ultimately see Gods hand miraculously moving in the midst of the circumstance, repent for not trusting Him, get back in right relationship with Him, and not long afterrepeat the cycle again! I felt like the Israelites, who would see miracle after miraclemanna falling from heaven, water coming from rocks, the red sea parting....and still, as soon as they felt hungry again, they turned on God and begged to go back to captivity in Egypt! I determined in my heart as I wrote this song that I would not go on living that way, and that no matter what, I would choose to remember the goodness, faithfulness, and sovereignty of God. Michele also wrote the song and created the video that is helping to change the world "Change it Together" also featured here on YouTube. Her song "This Ordinary Life" is a driving inspiration.
