Can you use...
Any color of balloon? I can see why a silver or clear balloon would be best, but If you can use a darker color and stretch the balloon over the quarter enough not to see the color of it, that would add to the mystique a bit I think.

  I tried it and you can only stretch it until it is a seethrough red or pink or whatever colour of the balloon you use. If you stretch it even farther, it breaks, so you must use a silver or clear balloon. And I doubt it will work with a latex glove since it is not as strong as the balloon and tears much much more easily. Condom, on the other hand, is stronger than the latex glove, a tiny bit weaker than the balloon, but it is the clearest of everything, and works much much better. =)
