  • A former security guard becoming a cop?

    What happened? I know police departments hire former security guards, but I thought they only hired from those who worked high profile sites and mobile patrol officers. Security guards who watch bulldozers and construction sites who sleep on graveyard shifts watching DVD all day types usually never get any promotions. I guess they needed to slash overtime in the police department so they hired on such people out of desperation.
