uhhh...great Kipkay !! I'm a fan nevertheless..but I have the same exact dvd player as in your video 'n' it came with a flier with 'd' following : turn on , wait 10secs, then press.- menu, then .-1 , 9.
(you'll see a new menu ) you'll see a 1 prees enter till '0' appears, press two times , 'd' open/close button , that's it
d' cyberhome dvd player i'ts ready for multizone ,though I post this for anyone wanting to buy a cyberhome dvd player !
at least in my country it comes with d' instructions on how to make it multizone!!

Hello.

It is true that one usually cannot watch a PAL DVD on NTSC television, but one can certainly watch an NTSC DVD on PAL TVs which are not more than 20 years old.

There is a special PAL mode which has PAL colour information but NTSC timing (60 fields per second), and i have never seen this fail so far, as long as one doesn't use antenna connection - use SCART (or composite) instead. Probably not an issue, since antenna signal encoders are basically extinct from video recorders and DVD players these days.

Systems with digital displays are even more versatile. You are running a high chance of watching a foreign-format DVD on either american or european portable players with their own display.

pal will play in ntsc,ntsc will play in pal,it will only be b/w

I was lucky to find this video clip page after watching his previous video clips when I just set my DK Digital DVD-228 to Region 0. Beforehand I got this player for its DivX/XviD support but only remembered the region restriction later meaning that I could only play my R2 DVDs. Now I can play my R1 DVDs too which is like half my collection. So thanks when I was even considering replacing this player.

I have that same DVD player. I was wondering if you know of a way to change the preset volume range on it. In order for me to get good sound out of it I need to turn my TV all the way up. That would be fine. BUT, the increments that the volume goes up and down on that DVD player makes it so either I cant hear it at all, or I am waking up the people in the room next to me.

I had that cheap dvd player and did that trick along time ago but sadly you get what you paid for and it died on me.

The whole region thing is dumb. Thanks for helping us find a good workaround.

Buy a multi-region mutli-format DVD player to begin with? All mine play all DVDs, and I haven't had to do anything (and the TV will switch from normal PAL to NTSC without a problem) :-))

Now when I travel in my RV, I can just go ahead and rent movies I want to see, and not have to take the ones I have!

about players in US but the players I have is restricted to only a few changes and for the players I have the best shot was to set the region code to 0 (zero) that plays everything.
