Upgrade your stock Windows XP performance by two system process. No downloads required! One by improving the efficiency of your system files and second by improving your NTFS performance. As a result you get a system which runs much better then your stock Windows XP
I tried both the reg tweaks.. and my laptop is running at least 33% faster.. great job in that with defrag C: and it'll be even better.... and if you're worried, just back up the reg!! great tweak...

If it speeds up XP for most users, Microsoft would have built it in as a default setting.
If you use large files (like i do with video-editing) the NTFS hack slows my entire system down.
The paging-hack slows my games down, as i prefer to have al graphics / sounds / levels in memory instead of the systemfiles that run at low-priority.
It IS a nice hack though for office-users that do nothing else but use mail and a little bit of word.
I wouldn't call this hacks but it is true that if you don't have a lot of memory, don't do this. If you play lots of video games or videos what ever it is that uses up a lot of memory, i would do this. But if you use your computer for office type of use or something similar or if you have lots of memory, go for it.

Make sure you backup your registry. To do this go to: regedit-File-Export- and save it in mydocuments- I backed up mine just in case!
Awesome post- all other videos out there don't address how to improve NTFS.. which he does, also he tweaks the core system files; awsome post, great work... keep 'em coming...
The pc boots fast buts shuts down slow, I had to redo the changes made, and the second half of the video where you do the ntfs stuff is not shown properly
Thank god, I know it!!!
there are two registry tweaks shown here... one deals with your system files.
the other deals with how your NTFS works. I'll spill out some details soon...
