Mauve is a color, like taupe. And I don't know what the hell that looks like, either. Maybe it's like ecru???? I'm a guy. I know basic colors. I just add the modifiers "dark," "light," and "-ish." When I'm being exceptionally clever, I put one of the first two with the last one. Then my wife leaves me alone and gets whatever oddball color piece of apparel she was going to buy without my invaluable advice. After 29 years she rarely asks my opinion about clothes anymore. I wonder why. Was it something I said?
