    I lived down in LES and alphabet city. where you can get plenty of nose candy at the Bodega's.
    Nyc is Quite a city. Notice it is poverty stricken yet the "ebonics" spoken is easily understood. Something you don't find in So. Florida.

    Bodega is where we the cubans use to go to get the food that get from the government. its damn cheap but u just have the right to get one per person so they shouldnt call it bodega cus in cuba u just get oil,rice,salt and beans once per month.

    I am confused why they put Arab corner store. Bodega is a spanish word and Bodegas are usually run by latin americans. I liked the video though

    • you're correct, but i'll tell you why

      we found that many people outside of new york had never even heard the word bodega so the beginning of the description explains the type of store this is about which elsewhere may be called one of those other names.

      you're right though that bodega is a spanish word. an interesting footnote though is that in spain a bodega is more like a pharmacy and the roots of the word bodega comes from the latin "apothecary".

      so it's fitting that you can usually buy all kinds of elixirs and drugs even at the neighborhood bodega
