  • Tried it

on my old Ezonics EZCam II USB webcam.
Does not work in absolute darkness, but it doesn't take much light for it to pick up an image, even the light of a candle is enough. Color is shot to H*. Daylight or normal room light overloads it. This may not work on some newer webcams as the lens is actually coated to block IR.

    • question..

where i can get a blackened photo filme?

and another kestion: i have a new webcam and i would like try this but i will not damage the webcam by touch the IR filter?

      By thatsall 1169410628
    • answer...

To obtain the filter visible in this video you just have to find a photo negative. Usually on its beginning and on its end the negative is black, you simply have to cut two little pieces of it to adapt it to your webcam.

The IR filter I have can be touched without damage, but I don't know if it's the same for all webcams...

  • humm hers myu take on that lame comment

a copy cat is anyone who dose as they have seen exactly, now this guy clearly stated difrent ways of doing it, and also in his ownwords, now if copy cating is this, then everything on the net is in that classification cause html is so simmaler and so is php, as adelphi dev i can say this, no copying was done from what i saw and your using that as excuse for not showing your own kowladge, this is a gr8 video :)

  • All is ok,

but my camera also can catch the light from tv pilot, without any modifications...

    By kubawlo 1214069624
    • Yes, but

The whole point of this mod is to block out all visible light and enhance the camera's ability to see IR.
