Wow. Intense training for everyday life and for lifestyle. Well around martial arts. For fighting and for lifestyle. But FUCKIN SONG IS ANNOYING. I wanna hear what they say so I can get more details of what they do instead of just watching the video.

I live 1hr away from Shaolin Temple. Real shame it's been over commercialized.

Old story goes, a young boy became a student, but was instructed to slap water for a year. When he returned home for a visit, his family and neighbors were so excited, they begged him to show them his skills.

He shouted at them, that he didn't learn anything, and slammed his hand on a table. Obliterating it.

I was born in China and learned Kung Fu in a place like these guys did. Very jealous...

Sorry to say, but most of this footage is from the 7o some-odd schools around Shaolin set up to make money. The one scene of students in horse stance holding bowls is the worst in the documentary and obviously doen for the camera - just watch the asshole teacher and you ill see what I mean.

You cannot compare all Westerners and All Chinese with regard to motivation and discipline. You will find the ones who make the effort to go all the way to China to join are constantly used as examples by the teachers to show the locals how little discipline they have. And, you watch way too much F**king tv. Reruns of Kung Fu do not make you an expert on Shaolin Kung Fu!

i take traditional shaolin kung fu as well as modern wushu from an actual Shaolin monk. this video clip definitely shows what we're capable of. just imagine doing all of this stuff plus a lot more every single day starting from 5 in the morning to however late the masters will force you. awesome video.

I am taking kung fu at a commuity college and this is no joke for what happens. they work you to the bone! we also have to beat each other up, which is how that guy broke the stick with his arm. they have special ointments and stuff that make it so that any wound you get doesn't stick around for more than a day. crazy S**t man!

That song is a classic but obviously did not suit the documentary. i normally like it but it really pissed me the F**k off here. Also, it was too loud so you could not hear the commentary. maybe if it were faint in the background it would be ok. Someone most probably tried to play "Editing Chief" and added what was a decent song and spoilt the whole damn documentary.

luckly im from China so i can guess what hes saying. really terrible song and the the video is a bit out of date.
Its more like a Kungfu body SHOW. The real kungfu should be the combination of both outer and inner parts. btw just to remind, if kungfu is used in real fight, unlike some gaudy body movements in the movies, thats just 1 or 1 series of hits, then u die :)
