i tried it with a 250 lbs steel magnet and it some what returned it to its original shape which is remarkable

It didnt work....
I tried it with my Neodymium magnets instead of your weak ceramic magnets and it messed up my monitor...

- Weakness is best!!
  The weaker the magnet the better... its like overloading a circuit board.. weak and gentle. it is also possible to get a simple, weak fridge magnet and "sweep" the magnet "stain" of the screen. thats what i always do.. however, the distance from the monitor is a bit tricky; to close and is makes the screen worse, not close enough and it wont do anything(duh).

This actually works!
My son really screwed up my JVC 32 inch flatscreen with a magnet. I took the magnet he used and taped it to my drill and kept it a good distance away.. Just inside the range where it starts to affect the picture. I ran it over the whole screen twice and didnt think it worked.. It only seemed to spread and split the spots apart. I turned it off and turned it back on 5 min. later, and while you can still see it if you look for it, It is not noticible if you arent looking for it.

you could switch off your monitor for some hours and it goes away by itself LOL... this looks cool but is not necessary ;)
