  • Mixed Martial Arts is Not Martial Arts

The comments on this sight are quite ignorant as no one on here knows anything about Sanuces Jiu Jitsu's origins or Dr. Moses Powell. Let me give you a brief idea of this Martial Art that you have just viewed and how a real fight between myself and one of you UFC guys would go: Sanuces was created by Dr. Moses Powell after studying the Martial Arts for many years but also after having served as the leader of a gang in New York City (before the use of guns). Sanuces Jiu Jitsu is Jiu Jitsu as it employs all of the principles of Jiu Jitsu such as breaking Kuzushi, applying sankyu, nikkiyu, gokiyu, etc. His art is recognized in Japan as Jiu Jitsu so that just ends that conversation. As for Pride, the UFC and them humiliating us in a fight, let me say that Sanuces is dirty fighting and UFC and "Mixed Martial Arts" is not. "Mixed Martial Arts" is nothing more than sports and should not be taken seriously for the street as I am going to assume that none one on this forum ever banged in ghetto. When I fought a "mixed martial artist"--in a real fight with no referees--I bit his nose off and that's just a sample of what we are taught. When I look at MMa competitions I am amazed at just how many mixed strikes there are. The reason is because you guys are trained to fight with rules and we aren't. MMA has the same problem that boxers have: you're trained to fight one person and you're given minutes. The streets on the other hand may give you more than one person to fight and you only have seconds. If you want to fight us don't look for us in the ring. We'll be in the street.

  • Nice stunts but...

This will work quite well when you know exactly where, when and at what speed your opponent (who also feels the need to only attack you with a single strange punch then remain stationary) is going to attack you. With these types of demonstrations i tend to cite a friend of mine who studied ninjustu for 4 years. "Do you see any of them in pride or UFC?" "no. because their opponents swing more than one punch, they also dont throw their whole body off balance when they punch either"

this isn't about a competition between experts. this is about how to fend off an attacker who most likely has no knowledge of martial arts. the moves are effective in that kind of situation. ufc fighters train and adapt to fight other fighters. you're comparing apples to oranges with the idea that the apple would kick the orange's ass simply because it doesn't need to be peeled. any ufc fighter would destroy and humiliate these guys, but that's not what this video is about.
