Try it yourself! No video tricks, time laps or heat source of ANY kind. Just what you see with your own two eyes! Watch what happens when you blow smoke on a piece of wood prior to placing a piece of ice on it! Amazing trick you can do! PS The block is room temp and isn't heated in any way.
Coolest video on metacafe that I've seen yet! Maybe that's why your eyes water when you get smoke in them!
By MonicaMoody 1168972235because everyone know's eyeballs are actualy ice and ice is actualy eyeballs.
By dickman1981 1170916201Chemical reaction with some coating on the wood and the smoke?
By precision 1170913749If i am right the way you did it was replace the wood with another one that was warm and blew smoke on it then saying oh look now it will melt, you didn't have remove the wood from the shot,
By lonewolfzor 1196124033that's probably the simplest answer, and that might explain why he didn't lift the just put "smoke" on the ice cube...
By Yo Momma's Face 1220308996maybe when he picked up base he either exchanged it with a hot one or heated it.
By mep2003 1200541770That when you pull the wood back to "dry it off" you possibly switch it out with some heated material, make the act of blowing smoke on it, and claim it to be the reason the ice melts. Keep in mind, wood is a poor thermal conductor, the odds of only smoke causing wood to become a good conductor is pretty close to impossible.
By x75556x 1197339009Leave the block there without drying it off so it never leaves the screen! As others have said, Slight of hand! And that doesnt look like any kind of wood Ive ever seen! Name it! Looks like a piece of slate to me!
So whats to prevent you from putting a hot block in there while you are supposedly drying it off? Durrrr! And that doesnt look like any kind of wood I know!
By roversredrocket 1184123979You used a tile that was charged with negative ions. There is no heat involved whatsoever.
By SnoopyABC 1183181204Nothing connected with smoke :) You simply changed the plate with hot one :) - that is why it is melting so fast :D
By robgr85 1182018579He didnt switch the block, he switched the Ice cube. I dont know what the second cube is made of but its not water. Or if it is water it has something in it to make it melt fast.
By pennsteve676767 1181787321You call ME an IDIOT???? You think ALL ice is made of water? LMAO. go back to school punk. Ever hear of DRY ICE? Not all ice is made of water, IDIOT!
By pennsteve676767 1189221932Dry ice isn't really ice, retard, it's just a name for frozen carbon dioxide. Chill out.
By sniperGasMask 1189274019well water is merely hydrogen and oxygen retard. so ice is just frozen hydrogen and oxygen. dry ice IS ice.
some of you people need to go back to science class.
Ice is specifically frozen H2O. Dry ice is just a name. Look it up in the dictionary. (ice: the solid form of water, produced by freezing; frozen water.)
By sniperGasMask 1191379287He switched the block with a heated one. Otherwise, the block could have been dried off in place.
By Dr.Bepo 1181616247Then why take the block out of the shot?
Perhaps the ice cube is frozen salt water. Would that melt more readily?
Or maybe switching the block with one that has been treated with something to make the ice melt faster. Perhaps antifreeze. Makes sense, since the block left the shot.
Well done anyway.
I've already said the block isn't heated or warmed in any way LOL
By hersheymagic2 1181626153This is the first video of yours i've watched,i guess i'll have to check out some of your other ones.
"Let me dry this off" and put a hot block down there. Whoa! That was amazing. Ever heard the term smoke and mirrors?
By bigdeezle77 1179383596good job man i njoy watchin all of your videos. i hope you can soon earn alot of money off of them! 5 stars
By Rodrigo332 1176570968What I want to see is you do this withount removing the original bock, and withount using a cloth to cover it from view... Otherwise... if that block leaves my sight.. Im convinced that you replaced the original block with one that has been heated... your somke.. does nothing.. the hot block does.
By ravious 1176528039It's not wood he put the ice on. It's a tile or metal plate.
And the second one he used was heated by someone
in the background before he swapped it. That's why the
ice melted immediately.
did you use same wood or switch with a hot item or is this trick legit
By johnnybotz 1175506712Seems like every reply I'm telling you there is NOTHING heated!
By hersheymagic2 1181626209Can you prove it in the video? SURE YOU CAN... Don't switch out the blocks!
By pyro4862 1182398307...when you remove the 'wooden block' from the field of view, replace it with a 'hot metal block'.
By lerber3 1172131726Tell you what. If the diggs on this video get up over 60 diggs I will teach you all how to do it live in the chat room. As soon as the diggs hit 61 I will post a comment telling anyone that wants to know, what time to be in the metacafe chat room to expose the secret and NO there is no heat! I promise!
By hersheymagic2 1181626494Is it just a segment from a thawing plate or made from the same materials? They are at room tempurature but melt ice or thaw out frozen food rather nicely.
The term "with smoke" would only mean that there is smoke in involved, not that smoke has anything to do with the thawing/melting, but it has everything to do with the "trick"
