Poor Filipino Child With Rabies

...rabies has no cure, and it's a horrible death... intense thirst, an overwhelming urge to bite and I think convulsions... I'm no M.D. ...but as a human I can't help wondering if a more humane death is possible... some opium derivative perhaps? This is horrible to see , but I salute Metacafe and the person who posted this because I think people should see this... I mean we all know that there is suffering in the world... innocent people die every day by the thousands for a lot of different reasons...but if there is a way to alleviate suffering, why not take advantage of it? my heart goes out to him and his family.....

i live in the philippines and i have seen this many times . people need to know so that they can help. The government isn't interested in helping either. these people to them just don't matter. i have helped people like this and have felt better for doing it, you should too

Why don't they at least give him some valium and morphine, or some other drug to render him unconscious ? It's just barbaric to let him die like an animal like that

when he was 4 years old , he died on 2004
and i feel the pains of every parents watching their children suffering and there is nothing they can do
my son died at home infront of his mums eyes
the hospital stopped giving him blood plateles anymore because there was no use therefore he was discharged from hospital and was on fluid to prevent him from draught and died 2 days later
i miss him greatly
i love you son and i will never forget you

Nice touch to offer the poor kid a glass of water when he's got hydrophobia. Presumably that was intended for our education too - or maybe just for a bit of additional interest.

rabies can only be prevented, but not cured... In the United States, for example, no better treatment would be available, but maybe such a distressing sight wouldn't be allowed to record. I am an MD, and I do support Vincelopez's views on considering euthanasia in such terminal conditions...
