This mil surplus parabolic lamphouse mirror is good for engaging kids jaded by the science and math based toys and tools they use daily. Even the most indifferent student is grossed out by how their hand looks when their finger touches the mirror and grossly distorts the image; more so when they back off and can dance with their own hand at the focal length of the mirror. Best used indoors, as outside in sunlight these mirrors can ignite wood at their focal length in a poof faster than you can see, and it will melt a penny in seconds. Be careful and get kids turned on to science, and if you explain it well, math. The world needs math and science to continue our quality of life.......
