Offroading trip that didn't go so well. My friend swamped his recently bought Cherokee. We were lucky to get him out.

    • Jerking is a bad idea.

      Those straps are not rated for high shock loads and neither are basis tow hooks like the ones they where using. They could have easily broken the strap or the tow hook.

      The reason why you do this in reverse is because you have have a limited gear range which will help to control wheel spin. Its also easier for the driver to see what's happening with the vehicle they are pulling out.

      Those straps are good for light stuck situations. If you want to wheel buy a winch.
