The soundtrack of this video is "The Hymn to Bacchus" by Daemonia Nymphe. This is based on the "Orphic Hymn to Dionysos" of the 2nd century C.E. The lyrics are the words of the original Greek text with an English translation by Andonis Theodoros. As in other pre-Christian hymns to the Goddess - the refrain "Khaire Nymphe" is repeated after each verse and forms the chorus. The verb "khaire" (meaning "hail !" in the sense of invocation) is most often "translated" as "rejoice" in the English versions of Akathist hymns but is in fact a form of greeting which in ritual is used as an invocation. Daemonia Nymphe have brought these words to life in the most powerful way imaginable.
