Nice show, but is it useful?
I must admit that he puts on a good show.
Nothing like flaming nunchukku to impress people.

But how is he in practical terms?
Can he win at sparring against someone carrying a bo staff or a pair of sai?
Or is it all just for show?

  Yes, I have spent 30 years learning my craft. We all know that it is not the weapon but the person weilding the weapon that matters, however the Bo Staff would have a slight reach advantage. If I were going to battle, I personally would take a solid Bokken and a tonfa as long as there were no guns.
