First of all yes the police motto is "PROTECT and SERVE" however if you read into the law far enough you will see that lawenforcement doesn't HAVE to protect anyone. Second like most others have said here how in the hell are the police going to protect you from dust. And last why should they try to move people out of "harms" way when people should have the common sense to turn and face AWAY from a dust cloud!!!

No! Who I would like to congratulate were the demolition tem ho planned this one. I mean, for god's sake - it is not the people's common sense or whatever the cops could do. It is this team's job to foresee this kind of things, devise a safety perimeter and report it.
All the police has to do is secure this perimeter. All the people have to do is respect the police. This kind of things is usually spectacular to see, but it is also very dangerous.
