In the land down under, Joe and his co-host, Jessi, a champion surfer, take a ferry ride around Sydney’s harbour. The glittering skyline, which includes the famous Opera House, is spectacular. Jessi, as usual, is in the mood for adventure, and she invites Joe to join her.

The pair participates in a standard Sydney pastime: the bridge climb. Now that Joe’s got a taste for adventure, he’s ready to see Australia’s wild side. Jessi and Joe hike around the Australia Wildlife Park, home to many of Australia’s unique animal inhabitants like kangaroos, wombats and wallabies.

After Joe tried Vegemite for the first time at lunch, he wants to see just one more Australian animal – the koala. Jessi takes Joe to a park where he can actually pet one. For a change of pace, Jessi and Joe do some shopping in the Rocks District before heading to the Royal Botanical Gardens to see the fruit bats or flying foxes.

Later on, Joe meets Jessi’s friends and gets a much-needed lesson in Aussie lingo before they try to teach him to surf at Bondi Beach. For his efforts, Jessi insists Joe take part in her after-surfing ritual – a shot of liquid chocolate for an energy boost! Jessi and her friends throw Joe a goodbye party and serenade him with the Waltzing Matilda.
