I am not claiming to know the exact circumstances of this clip, but perhaps they can under no circumstances get stopped or boxed in. Any stopping or enough slowing down of a convoy presents a very vulnerable ambush or IED attack. It looks to me like they were actually doing the moral thing by slowing down and lightly tapping the cars instead of ramming into them at full speed, which a HMMWV would have no troubl doing. Never take things at face value. This clip shows courtesy under trying circumstances, not carelessness and the like. Notice how calm the voice of the driver and how he isn't enjoying what he's doing. He just has to do it.

As a British civilian I have been to Iraq working with the Coalition Forces. From my experience the Yanks have got completely the wrong approach. It should be about Hearts & Minds, and not brute force & domination, that just makes you like the regime that has been disposed.
The British forces don't barge their way through, or drive recklessly towards pedestrians or oncoming traffic. If we had to slow down for traffic then the troops opened their doors in preparation to get out. If we actually stopped, no matter for how long, then the troops got out and kept a very careful watch on the people around us, weapons at the ready until the traffic cleared. They certainly didn't bump into other peoples cars to force their way through. The real problem with you Yanks, and let's face it, where do I start, is that it's all about YOU. You blindly believe all that rubbish that your Moron of a President tells you, and you get hyped up with your Kick Ass attitudes, and there's no regard for other people. How appropriate that your country is the US as it's all about you.

I think there are a lot of people out there that are missing the point....
Just because you are an American doesn't make you an A$$hole. Just because you support the troops doesn't make you an A$$hole. I personally don't agree with the war, or bush. But I am not going to wish death on anyone either. Those guys are trying to get though traffic as fast as they can so they don't get killed. My little brother was killed over there in a humvee just last year, only doing what he was told. He was not seeking out people to beat up or kill. He joined to protect his country, but then was sent to Iraq for the wrong reasons..
