I hope you hurried
For the tutorial and usually fix the small errors where the background was recolored. and an easier way to add the black and white is to adjust the saturation levels, which would work better for sme backgrounds with more highlights.
And for the eyes, adjusting the opacity of the level is much easier than fiddling with the color settings.
