  • there are far better techniques for cutt...

    pineapple that don't waste so much of the meat. For example, you'll notice that the little nubs around the pineapple are in a spiral pattern. You can cut a vee trough along each spiral before removing the rest of the skin to minimize the wasted fruit.

    I like the ripeness test and storage part, though.

    I SWEAR I added a comment yesterday when I signed up - yet I cannot find it. Your video came up as the 2nd spot in a google search for "How to Cut a Pineapple". I really enjoyed your video as I had no idea how to cut a pineapple that I just bought last week. I don't know how to tell if they are still good, either although through your video I learned how to tell if they are ripe. :-) Thanks for the techniques shown - excellent video and cute host!

    I'm not gonna lie. you kind of changed my life. you wanna know the whole story ?? well it started when i bought a pineapple at walmart at about midnight. then the next morning me and my friends wanted to eat it. but guess wwhat....WE DIDNT KNOW HOW. so now we have this delicioius pineapple that we cant eat. If it wasnt for you bob(we named the pineapple) wouldnt be cut. and we wouldnt have the joy we recieved from eating bob. thank you so much. you will always be my hero :D and btw you remind me fat al from toy story. thats a good thing. hes pretty awesome (: <3333 Julie

      Be sure to take your time cutting down the outside so not to take off as much of the fruit as I did. I was in a little bit of a hurry. Go slow and enjoy.
