Chrysler has revealed the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10 a more powerful version of its popular two-seat sports cars. It will arrive in Dodge showrooms in North America this summer. The SRT model gains an additional 90 horsepower from the new 8.4-liter powerplant, for a total of 600 hp and 560 lb.-ft. of torque.

      My Viper only has 510 horse power. Now the new one has 600. DAMN ! I really need that extra 90 HP. Dunno for what, but gimmi !

        are over rated and over priced. save $20k and get a corvette zo6. it will go into the 10s with just drag radials. the viper wont even come close.

          how many corvettes do you see on a nice summer day? and how many vipers do you see? you see my point? most people that can afford a vette can afford a viper but a lot like the viper for it is not as common as the vette. yes, the 07' vette will beat an 06' viper (there is no 07' viper) but dodge brought a nice new machine to the party. Variable Valve Timing, new intake, side exhaust exit that sounds mean but not as hot, they did their homework and have a nice vehicle to show for it. I am a GM fan, but I give to dodge for the SRT models. and the new hood with all the slots is cool as helll.

        you dont need 600hp. heck you dont need 510hp. my car has 413whp, and i can stay ahead of SRT-10s at track days. i can even beat them in a drag race. american car companies need to apply the benfits of power-to-weight ratio, and a good suspension/brake setup.
