the gun is an airsoft rifle , but the effects are all me , i was impressed as it was my first time , but in the world of movie editors that was peice of piss compared to some of the things you can do , ill keep learning

Did you made the fire frame by frame or entered some kind of value and the software calculated the shots please tell me, cuz adding the fire frame by frame for long shots is very long job

The biggest problem I saw was that you used the same "flash" shape - Even by only using a couple of different shapes that should help a great deal

It seems you have a supressed MP5, so the sound should be different, further, there should be minimal flash.

i used
adobe after effects,
and there are free tutorials on the net , i think its a complex program to get around for a beginner but once you learn it, the possibilities are endless
