    but wen he started playing for money not for the love anymore, he started going down hill. i have mad respect for him but now he is putting a bad example for a soccer player. i am a soccer player and i get paid. but i'd play even if i was to pay to play.

    in manu he was just a half mature kid playin like many others eg rooney. but he ll always be amongst the greatest of freekick takers for me. plus the way he took real to title the 06-07 season was amazing.

    ....Beckham could tackle so he could play centre midfield...if giggs was English...if only Venables had not been a crook...if English footballers were adaptable enough to play 3 5 2...too many ifs.....a wasted generation of talented footballers and Beckham is the quintessential example of the flawed genius to be found in the English game. But we will never learn...the 10 and 11 yeaar olds being sent out to play on a full sized pitch with the parents screaming kick it .....shame.

    to come back after a month lay off at Real and score is a testament to the man. Unfortunately, his "hollywood" personal life makes people jealous who then critizise his football. He great at what he's hired to do, feed crosses and score free kicks.
