I hook them up for various cities... we just mount the button on the pole without any connection. Most all are "dummie" buttons that give the person who presses them a warm fuzzy feeling.

Wish I knew this trick when I was a LetterCarrier downtown L.A. Humm, now that I think about, would have been a kewl trick to know just to create a bit of havoc downtown L.A.(LOL) Ya got a 5 from me. Tried this here in Southern Indiana, and seemed to work on a normally long winded light.

It's almost unprovable without hearing directly from the manufacturers of the lights and it's not something they are about to admit exists....good job!

I was once at a 3 way stop where the driver said get out and hit the walk button or it won't change! I thought they were trying to ditch me but I hit the button 3 times and it changed almost instatly. And I was back in the car!

the light basically changes almost right after you push the button. That's sort of the purpose of the button, right? Lots of car drivers who come to intersections with pedestrian buttons jump out of their cars, run over to push the button, then run back to their cars. By the time they return to their car, the light has changed. So it's a more or less useless trick . . . though interesting.

i just do like frogger and dont use the intersection. If you cross away from the corner you avoid people turning into you...you just worry about 2 lanes that way. run stop in the middle now run again. If you carry a fake police badge you can flip it out and borrow people's cars as a bonus.

there is a button that changes the traffic lights. it worth about $15,000-$16,000. and you need a state permit for it. (cop cars, ambulances, fire trucks, any emergency vechile has one) check it at galls.com (supplier for the USA on emergency equipment).

if you found the frequency of strobe lights used on emergency vehicles, you could change the light by aiming a strobe light at the sensor located on the light . this may not be legal,though.

This doesnt work. My dad's an electriction and PED buttons are just a one time switch. as soon as you press it once it tells the contoller there is a pedestrian. clicking it more than once actually doent do ne thing. the switch resets after a cycle has gone through.

At first I really didn't think that this would work, so I hoped on my bike and went up to the nearest stop light. Of course, right when I got up there, the light changed so I didnt get a chance to use it. Later right after the light changed (I didn't want the chance that it was a coincidence that it change after i entered it) I put in it code, and IT ACTUALLY WORKED.

Depending on how long you pause or don't pause, the Morse Code could be any of the following:
S-M-E-M-S, S-M-W-S, I-P-7, E-I-M-E-Z-E, I-P-M-S, I-A-T-E-M-S...
the list goes on. My favorite is IPMS. lol.

to get it in ur car u would hav to get one of the bottons on the pole some how like workin for the company that installs them and then u could get it but while u were installing them u would have to be able to install a wifi connection that controlled the switch that triggered someone watting and then u would have to connect another wifi on the botton in ur car and conected the two in wifi and there u go u could push the botton in ur car and it would change

He doesn't know how signal preemption devices work. And most lights are made to turn RED rather than green when you use a preemption device. That's to be absolutely sure that the intersection is clear, and remember, emergency services vehicles are allowed to run red lights.

This freakin works!! i couldn't believe it. If you do do this though be careful because it keeps the other lights red for a couple minutes

I tried this on 8 different streetlights with witnesses, while pressing the button once takes almost 30 seconds for you to get a walk sign and on the two lights turn red, this takes about 6 seconds and all 4 lights go red for about 30 seconds. I don't believe kip found this combination randomly however, its probably a traffic light reset. In any case it works 5 starts thanks kipkay.

that one doesnt work, try the Universal Remote one instead it worked on the one down the street from my house, but its gay b/c the walk button was stuck, so it had to wait for that everytime..... but it does work....

If this works, how come on the video when yo did the clicks. It made the traffic light go to stop. Which means you cannot cross since they would go left. I cross everyday and when I need to cross the light would turn green not red

Just as some friendly advise. This may seem a little much but you might want to add a disclaimer to your video. tampering with traffic lights is a felony charge if caught. its not likely at all to get caught but on the slight chance that a secuirty official saw you doing this and knew what it was they could arrest the person doing so, and if they get arrested they could tell the officials where they gained the knowledge and so on. Just some friendly advise dude.
