Again I see someone else with that red cicle that appears when they click their mouse. Does anyone know what thats called? Ive been trying to find out what program that is.

Oh, by the way, a better way of creating a border:
Select the white area on the white layer.
Go to: Select -> Modify -> Border...
Then just paint on the selected area.

click on layers, then click on duplicate background. (you can rename it or keep the name "background copy) Now that you duplicated it, you will notice that it doesn't have a lock on it.

Hey umm To unlock the background you just hold down (alt) and double click it thanks for the tut again (:

just double click to unlock the background

just double click the layer to unlock

I know how to unlock the background image in Photoshop. You go to layer on the top. Then click on layer from background then a small window will poop up, click okay then your background image is unlocked. ^__^

hey about the thing to unlock the background picture, just double click on the lock and then a box will come up and then just click ok and your done

Just double click on it and the "new layer" window will pop up, click "OK". By default the layer will change its name to "Layer 0", and that's it. Hope that was as useful as your tutorial. C' Ya!

u can unlock the bg layer by double clicking it and clicking ok in the popup widnow

I think what you are asking is how to make the background a workable layer... if so, just double click that layer in the layers window itself, then just ok the dialog box that appears and you will have "layer 0" instead of a background layer and you can work it just like any other layer... hope that helps.
