Metacafe Or Youtube?

I know Metacafe for years and it's great to see how they evolve and always try to respond to submitter's and viewers needs. Like everyone I always hear about Youtube but every time I go to their website, I just get bedazzeled by the huge amount of junk videos they keep there. As I see it, Metacafe have found the way to surface up all the quality, original videos users submit and not just every piece of crap uploaded....
It seems like a better venue for quality video producers, such as yourself (i hope:).

I am in China and the download speed is very slow so Metacafe is better because it will download to my computer not online. I am not able to view video online from here yet. The pay for uploading video is up in the air I have never been paid for one and looking at the profile of people on Metacafe no one has been paid for a video.

They way that youtube is getting now, I have a feeling that more and more people are going to start leaving.

Youtube is starting to randomly close very popular peoples accounts, people with thousands of subs and such.

People are starting to get very angry with it, ever since Google bought it, it has went down hill.

So, I am just saying that I believe soon more and more people are leaving, already it is happening.

Ive been using YouTube for awhile and all there is in junk on there :( only reason i stayed was because of the large viewer audience, so now im here at meta cafe theres smaller audiences and they pay and have real people here that dont spam but im not sure they both seem equal i hope i can find out soon :)

That's why I left YouTube. I got tired of every single featured video being just another version of the same boring, self-serving commentary on "My Miserable Life," posted along with an invitation to comment on that life. PA-leeeeeez. Metacafe and Vimeo are the last oases in the ever-sprawling intellectual desert of video sites where you can post and view original content. As it is, based on the majority of comments I increasingly see here, YouTube's audience seems to be spilling over to Metacafe, posting their misery in the form of comments that are just as unnecessary as most of the videos on YouTube. No stars for you 45n5. I don't support what you're trying to do. Not at all.

usually the comments on here are MUCH funnier than youtube ones, sometimes even better than the clip itself, theres some real jokers on here

For earning money with video I'd agree, at least for now, metacafe wins.

True, but Google owns youtube, myself (and many others) get a check every month from google for monetizing text, I have no doubt they will have a winner with youtube also.

Thanks for commenting ya''ll. I'm actually a bit surprised there hasn't been a greater response to this. Silence in my opinion speaks volumes in favor of Youtube.
