How many women would allow that "extra skin" they have to be removed just to be "cleaner"? It's not right to do it to either boys or girls. Period.       j3ttagri420 - there are several varieties of female genital cutting (not all is circumcision) 1 type actually enhances female pleasure by removing or opening the clitoris hood (similar to male circumcision). Don't get me wrong, I don't agree with any form of mutilation to children.

      And to Unfair World - I don't understand your vegetarian reference. I suspect the victim in this case was subjected to one of the more extreme forms of female genital mutilation (hence the proceedings). Point fingers to christians and preach, but you do not understand either. Your society is no better.

Christianity has one of the most gruesome histories out of all the religions. There are christians who are serial killers, rapists, etc...
