  • Body builders and obesity

Okay lets face it, the only way he came to the conclusion he was obese was because he measure his BMI on a computer. All body builders, rugby players and any athlete that has a great muscles mass is obese in terms of the Body Mass Index. The only way you can truely tell if you're obese is with body calipres as this will tell you the fat %

The doctor is an idiot to be honest.

  • OBESE!?!?

Hey Shawn Ray.. get another doctor man.. if your Obese then i dont dare ask your doctor to tell me what my condition is called :P lol. This is another example of whats wrong with peoples views on fit vs healthy. The problem with the Body mass scales is they dont take muscle into account at all.. its fat that matters Shawn and if you dont know that with all your success in the past.. How did you ever do it the first time is beyond me.

    • Good point

He also says he is standing in 100% humidity.. Wouldn't that put hiim somewhere in the deep end of a pool.. If you didnt notice there is a lot of funny stuff in there where shawn is cracking on himself and he isnt afraid to show what he is really like 5 years after the Olympia stage.
If shawn were in the military he would be considered overweight and would be put on half rations,,, he looks normal to most people but from what he was before,,, he is really out of shape.
      Enjoy..

    • 100% humidity...

doesn't mean you'd be standing in a pool, it would mean you're standing a place where its so humid the air is holding its max amount of water it can, so it would start to condense and water drops would appear

  • Stupid ...

A successful bodybuilder like Shawn Ray is MORE than capable of being fit again after 40. To say it's a struggle is show-business scam.

    • To say it's NOT a struggle...

is to not give the guy his due. I'm not saying that a former pro athlete will have a tougher time getting back into shape than some average joe, but getting back into shape for anyone after a five year layoff is tough. BTW, whatever happened to Flex Wheeler? That dude was supposed to take over the bodybuilding world in the early 90's and he never seemed to do anything.
