Punjab, Feb 27: Any division – be it of a home or a country is tragic. That’s what happened to India in 1947. The partition left behind in its wake the death of thousands...homes and hearths destroyed… riots wrecking lives. When the partition of 1947 occurred Narinder Singh Nanda was 9-years-old. His family was based in village Darkali Khurd of Gujar Khan tehsil, now in Pakistan. It was a terrifying time for the Sikh family when mobs attacked them and they had no option but to leave their home and migrate to India.
