In this video Dr Steve Boorman talks about what he hopes the review will achieve. He states that common public health priorities need to be consistently identified and awareness raised. He also talks about how he hopes that physical fitness and mental health will be improved, with the new NICE guidelines (http://www.nice.org.uk/) helping with this. Early intervention is another area he covers, along with the other key recommendations from the review that need to be prioritised at a leadership level.
The Final Report of the independent NHS Health & Well-being Review was published on 23 November 2009. The report reiterates the business case for change laid out in the Interim Report, and provides a comprehensive set of recommendations for improvement in provision of health and well-being across the NHS.
