R-22 Phase Out: Range of Refrigerant Replacements

Due to the phase down of R-22, equipment owners who currently use R-22 need replacement refrigerants with varying performance and capacity to use with their existing HVACR equipment. For example, an air conditioner, only need to cool air. So it runs at a … essentially, a warm … a warm temperature, compared to a commercial refrigeration freezer system, that has to freeze ice cream, for example. That requires a refrigerant with different performance and different capacity. So there’s a range of refrigerants today, so there needs to be a range of new products to be able to use in these existing systems. And that’s why there more than one ISCEON product.
