all you need to do this trick in this method is lot of money to make a deal with audience. then you need some good fellow that makes you a camera trick. then just put in a mirror effect and whole "magic" is done. and because this is one of last david's show he had pretty much money though.

The Right leg is the only one which can walk and his left leg is hidden its on like a bracket system not sure how he floats though

I saw this trick done by a street performer in Brighton about 15 years ago. It's hardly new or orginal, come on Copperfield you can do better than that.

Ok, the guy who originally invented this trick sold this effect to copperfield. Without revealing it, look at the top of the pants, and look at the limited action allowed.

The posters here claiming to have 'really seen this live' are lying. This is obviously a blue screen camera trick that was not performed before a live audience, at least. As it's clearly physically impossible for anybody to chop themselves in half, and also impossible to produce this illusion in real life, it was all done with blue screen and editing, and it's pretty obvious when you look at it.

It's a CAMERA TRICK.

For those interested, the trick was devised by a guy called Steve Fearson who actually presents it sitting on a chair with the audience just a few feet away. I think Copperfield bought the rights to it.
