When they say 9 times 3 is 27 this is true but most will assume they now have 27 dollars they don't. They have 3 the hotel has 25 and the bell hop has 2. 25 3 2=30! The 27 plus 2 is 29 part confuses you and takes your mind off track. They don't have 27 they have 3. they had paid 30 and got 3 back. the bell hop has 2 and the hotel has the other 25.

Manager has $25.00
Bellhop has $2.00
Customers have $3.00
what's the problem?

True the customers paid $27.00.
Of which the hotel manager has $25.00 and the bellhop has $2.00.

dont think about who has the extra dollar. the last evidence they give u about 27+ 2 is to trick u. u see, dont think about the 3 guys. u paid 30 dollars overall, and u just gained 3 dollars. thats it. why would u add the 2 dollars that u lost? 27= the amount of money that u lost. and 2 dollars is already included in the 27.

In those stuped $9.00x3 = $27 already are those 2 Bellhop dollars ... other 3 = 1 1 1 XD .. U know where they r rofl

total paid = 9x3 = 27
total recd = 2 25 = 27
total paid = total recd.

the men did not each pay 9 dollars for the room because the room cost 25 $ not 27$ so if you do the math again you will see it works
25 3 2 = 30

the bellhop has 2 dollars? What the hell does that come from? He has 27 dollars -- and each man has 1 for total of 3. Everything adds up fine assuming you just ignore the bellhop has 2 dollars crap.
