    • I agree

I totaly agree... It was not close range... it was medium range battle with medium range arsenal... AND ONE sniper would resolve it, by just leanig out for some seconds, while others providing cover fire, and aiming where bandit will lean out for his turn and then make a shot. It is even easier than a long range, because it is easier to tell exact distance of a target, which means You shoot more accurate...

hm more comments from kids who have been playing too many fps games...

real life situations involving real people, real guns, and real bullets unfortunately dont include real spawn points. firefights are not a joke, and its amusing to see two of you talking about how easy it is to "resolve" the situation with a sniper.

  • I didn't know they had...

whitetails in the barrio. Oh, I'm sorry. I thought this was a hunting show and they were shooting whitetails on third floor of the hood. Notice how one would roll out of the line of sight so he wouldn't spook the whitetail; while he took 6 months to change his clip the other guy served as a decoy to confuse the whitetail. They must have got one as you can see 5 or 6 of them carrying it down the stairs and throw it in the back of their typical smoking Ford vehicle.

    • My mistake....

They said Grenada. He was calling for the Ford Grenada and got a smoking piece of crap instead. My buddy had a Ford Grenada and it had a warmed over 302 in it. It wasn't bad for a piece of crap Grenada.

  • Sniper not an option

They are Police, they are probably not armed with snipers, and besides, it was close range combat. Im afraid even if they did have snipers (in witch they might considering they had m4's, they are probably not as good as USMC snipers.

Because is is close-range combat, they wouldent even bo able to use snipers, by the time they take aim, the sniper would have bin shot.

  • Are they real soldiers???

I ask myself right now, if they are even trained soldiers. I personally do not think they are. As Xcite699 wrote, a sniper would have been the best solution to resolve the problem, because they are highly trained for this kind of situation and can save several bullets. Or if these men would have had a proper training they would have saved several bulets and prevented the throwing of the grenade. You can see that they are not properly trained in the first minute, because the one changing his clip needs for it about 20 secs and that is far to much. I think that I would have changed the clip in 10 secs, without ever having handled any kind of gun.

  • Péssima demonstração

Eles nem se dão ao trabalho de mirar nos bandidos... Não me admira tantas pessoas serem atingidas por balas perdidas...

They even know whom they are shooting... I'm not surprised so many people in Rio get wounded by lost bullets.

    • Well, lets just say there is a big probl...

It's like the Israeli and Palestinian conflict, except for one diffarence. Just to let you know, this does not happen all over Brazil, its just in Rio de Janeiro. The problem is when rich people and poor people live together, they grow up hating each other alot more than if they lived far from each other.

you can search it online on google, because the problem is too complex for me to explain.

    • Cowards??!?!?!

Those cops are about 200 meters from the drug dealers!!

If you know a "favela" you´ll know why they can´t be closer...
They´re in a little street, with no places to hide.

Unfortunantely, the weapons of those drug dealers are heaviers than our cops. Some americans (army?) sell those weapons for brazilian drug dealers... and unfortunantely, some of our "cops" "don´t see" those guns.
