Ive been in and out of bands for 20 years. Ive played guitar and bass for those 20 years and drums for only about 6 and am no where near as good as Joey from slipknot. Ill bet money that every single person here criticizing him cant even come close to his talent. Plus umm hes being flipped upside down! If you can do what he does, then put up or shut up and post a video off your awsome drumming skills and show us how you would do it. Until then, sit behind your pc and be a loser while he sits back with his millions he has made being a bad drummer... give credit where credit is due.. and no i DONT mean all of you, just those quick to judge..

This guy is fast, but REALLY sloppy. His feet are all over the place -- totally uneven. Also, he has no idea how to construct a decent solo. There's more to drumming than just playing as many notes as you can.

Listen to Mike Portnoy, Terry Bozzio, and Neal Peart. Those guys are the ones you should be imitating. Forget this Joey guy...

joey is one of the most fascinating double bass drum of this decade... he's the most powerfull drummer i've seen till now... i agree there MAY BE drummers better than him... y'all can't just drum like him... In fact joey has 2 bass drum WITH ONLY 2 PEDALS, 2 snares, 5 toms in all, 12 cymbals & surely a hi-hat...

I think the late Kame from Malice Mizer was pretty good in his drum duet with Gackt on the piano. You wouldn't think that a piano and the drums would make for a good duet but it was great! Kame in some of his solos was really good too. I love Malice Mizer.

First joey played jazz in his early years at school, he is palying 2 kick drums with 2 pedals. and his solo really isnt that good its just rolls and some kinda fast rolls on the double bass. And he isnt the 2nd fastest near the Slayer drumming. Go try morbid angel (drummer pete sandoval try hit solo or opening the gates) or Nile (= drummer George kollias). slipknot arnt death metal the 2 band i just said are death metal slipknot are metal.

but i still don't understand what is it with people and speed... why is it so important to be as fast as this guy??.. drums weren't made to be played as fast as u can.. they're were made for rhythm.. what's the point of being so fast??.. play something cool, with feeling.. speed sure helps to do other things, but it's not everything... it's just a very small part of being a good drummer.. there are lots and lots of fast drummers.. so being "fast" ain't special anymore.. for all the drummers out there, focus on ur feeling, and in expressing something through drums.. and not on ur speed..

u have to beleve ine slipknot to experience the massive impact of there music theres NINE of them and they all rock!! i bought 9.0 live and ure right the drum solo was a lot lot faster but he still kicks ass they ALL do!!!!

W/E, he is right, joey IS playing 2 base drums, not 1 with a dual pedal.

first off its 1 base w/ 2 pedals, 1 snare, like 8 cymbals, 3 roto toms, and one floor tom. On the other hand the proformance was INSANE

Flewww alll the wayyy to london to see that concert extremely insane got hit in the head with a few beer bottles but thats ok the mosh pits were great...joey insane drum solo.......great dj solo and guitar solo during concert tooo.....loved it....

i saw his drum solo live in new orleans last year and its AMAZING! slipknot puts on a great show..sadly their singer's voice is a wee bit messed up BUT his voice wasnt messed up in this video..

Probably one of the most boring solos I've heard yes... he's fast but
tugu - tugu - tugu - tugu - tugu - tah for 2 straight minutes.... C'mon just when he started to get into the groove getting good ideas. HE's finished

i have disasterpeices and yeah actually his solo isnt as fast as some other songs he does like disasterpeice or eyore, but i still think its a badass F**king solo.

it's a cool show, but the drum solo itself is not that impressive.... try Marco Minnemann, or Thomas Lang, or Akira Jimbo.. etc....
oh and one thing... playing 2 bass drums instead of 1 dual pedal, doesn't make any difference in difficulty..
