  • aww man

3 or 4 years of tae kwon do and i can't do any of those flashy stuff. i don't do anything fancy i am more on power then speed besides i'm pretty heavy. anyways i must say that kid doing those multiple kicks on one leg is pretty amazing. stuff like these videos really motivate me to keep doing tae kwon do.

I'm sure that some of those kicks went astray at some point..and someone got kicked in the face :)

    • keep going

in traditional tae kwon do training i doubt you'll learn alot of this stuff...if you really want to do it then you should probably find a tae kwon do club which is focussed on demonstrations... generally most clubs have a particular field they concerntrate on such as fighting, demonstrations or traditional tae kwon do

    • keep it on

nice to hear ppl getting motivated to keep on practicing..
kepp on the training and dont worry, i needed about 5 years to learn the triple front kick, the 540 and the kip up correctly.
but once u learn one, the others are much easier.

when i see stuff like this it makes me wanna go train
my butt off.i just returned to taekwon do after i lost
my way due to drink n drugs and i guess i may owe my life to it.when i was younger it was all about the fighting but now i love the traditional side and totally get lost in the art when performing patterns and floor work.to all practitioners i bow.taekwon.

  • Geesh

The competetive fighting is learning how to fight with a bunch of basic rules to follow, there are a few different types of rules depending under which TKD "style" you are training in. People dont fight like that in real fights even if they have been training it for 20 years, but since its a competetive fighting style of TKD where you get points for landing kicks in the opposistions vest/head, thats how it is. Traditional Tae Kwon Do training is much much more, and you learn alot more than what you see here. Same as with most athletes, they want the audience to get exited thus try harder things.
