  • learn math before you comment

    first of all realize that when he types constand variable that means constant ^ variable

    the answer to the problem is:
    on the last line where (a-b) cancles each other out, (a-b) = 0. you cant do this just put real numbers in
    0*2 = 0*3 this is obviously 0 = 0
    but if you try to cancel out the zero's you get
    2 = 3...see?

    • i agree

      so many people use the "cancel out the 0" trick to get people going, guys u have realize that even though it's looks completely right to be canceling out (a-b) on both side, it's a disguise. The reason the equation equals when both sides have the (a-b) is because of the 0xanything=0 special rule..(gr. 3 material?)

  • 5th line

    is wrong. if a=1 and b=1, than thats not correct, so it is WRONG

      • YOU should learn your maths b4 posting!!...

        you are wrong from the second line (square isnt the same as times two!!), then again on the forth (again with the square issue!!). you nincompoop

        • 2nd line

          i don't think there is anything wrong with the second line

          given a=b
          then a2(the 2 is an exponent)=ab
          because axa=axb [don't think this is necessary but lawlz]

      • explain to me how this makes any sence

        u have:

        a=b
        a2=ab
        a2-b2=ab-b2
        (a-b)(a b)=b(a-b)
        a b=b
        2=1

        which (if 2=1 is supposed to be ur answer) makes this:

        2=1
        2(2)=2(1)
        2(2)-1(2)=2(1)-1(2)
        (2-1)(2 1)=1(2-1)
        2 1=1
        2=1

        and when complete makes this:

        2=1
        4=2
        2=0
        3=1
        3=1
        2=1

        I DONT GET IT!
