    First, a quick format can only be done on a partition/disk (Not a computer).

    Second, a quick format can only be done on a disk that has previously been formatted. (the long hard way)

    Third, a quick format only erases the MFT (master file table) in the case of a NTFS disk or FAT (File allocation table) on older fat or fat32 disks/partitions.
    Esentially removing any information about "where the files" are on a disk or partition. The data the files contained ARE STILL ON THE DISK. Ask your "brother" see if I'm right. (computer scientist my A$$)

    it can be done by converting the disk from basic to dynamic on other partitions but NOT the (healthy) system partition where the OS is installed.

    it wont work on your main drive which most ppl have only drive os it wont work coz iwndows is on it 2ndly the smaller the faster the correct way to do it properly is reboot in DOS and C:/format

      That doesn't always work with Dos and everything, If you want to completely get rid of everything, then I suggest you format using a windows cd.
