stop feeding the troll and just concentrate on the video. BTW learning to play like that in a yr is beyond impossible. This take yrs of practise and alot of hours each day (and lots of drugs too). I have a friend who played guitar for 4-6hrs a day for 3yrs now and he can't play this S**t he can play some AMAZING stuff that blows my mind, but hes not at this caliber..yet. I have been playing for 1yr, 2hrs each day or so and I am nowhere near this level. Much respect to this guy and all the guitarists out there who have such command over their instrument. Peace.

I just can't. Technical skills must serve a good music, not the musician's ego. This guy play better than me, but though I'm a begginer, I know that music is about emotion and feelings, not speed of light. I wish I had his skills but I definitely do not envy his inspiration.

The band name is called Iron Cross, was established in 1990 by Saw Bwae Mhuu, a guitarist. The band has introduced us how we can enjoy the Rock music.

We are ruled by the juntas. Music is our only hope. Musicians can’t even express what and how they feel about bad things which happen to them and citizens of Burma. They can’t express their hatreds in the lyrics except romance. What can you do to ROCK just with romance?

Chit San Maung has played guitars since he was 5. He met Saw Bwae Mhuu, his teacher when he was 12. I am not sure how many hours he practices a day. What we know is he is married to the guitar. From our point of views, he is the best guitarist in my country till today. It has been 16 years since we know him, he is still the best.

In this clip, he is trying very hard to let us, Burmese have happy moments, happy moments in our difficult life. You can hear how much we are happy at the end. We appreciate him and his passion so much. The band is still giving us so much energy till today.

I have many to say. But I think this should stop people who don’t appreciate the work here and talk unrelated topics.

I am very proud that we still have a Burmese musician who we can look up to.

Very good and clever. Try watching Stanley Jordan playing two guitars like this for instance. Or Jeff Healey. But..... Les Paul was being interviewed about Segovia and was asked whether he thought Segovia played fast. Les said, I would never ask Andres about playing fast. It's the quality that makes the song.The speed is for showing off.

woah that movie was awesome im inspired to practice more on my guitar that i kinda gave up on... but i really wanna do that kinda stuff sweeet for that guy! and yeah i doubt anyone could do that in one year no matter how much that practice unless it was some sorta full time job u worked over 50 hours a week on......

Back to the guitar - the guy can tap and nothing special here really. The parts played with both hands on the neck are real nice, and was that a guitar or a keyboard when he played it on the blokes head? Hi people, I am a Burmese American, and FYI, this very talented dude is from Myanmar (Burma). (He is not from Mexico or anywhere else.) He is the lead guitarist from this very famous rock band called Iron Cross. I believe this video was shot in Burma some years ago. Iron Cross and this guitar genius toured US abt 3 yrs back, and I saw him do this live in NYC. He is truly gifted, but he is known to work hard at his profession also. Much kudos to this son of Burma! We're proud of you!!

This guy is well versed in many different musical styles as well as very creative in the way he uses hit guitar.
As for the comments, you all need to get over yourselves and just enjoy the music for what it is. It makes no difference what nationality someone is, because art knows no borders. This comment section is for comments on the clip featured, not a trash talk other nationalities, races, or religion page. If you feel the need to have to express yourself in that manner do it somewhere else. The rest of us don't want to hear it.

Though I can not actually play the guitar at this time, I did study the video, and based on the type of finger control and body movement exhibited, I am of the opinion that I could duplicate and in fact exceed the so called "talents" of this small Asiatic fellow on the guitar given several weeks time to learn the instrument and become well versed. Frankly, I am not impressed. I have more talent in my equine thumb than most people have throughout their entire bodies, so I do make these statements with total confidence and no ego whatsoever. feel freee to join in conversation with me, but please - no intellectual weaklings need apply. I've been playing for 16 years and it's hilarious to see people detracting from this guitarist. It may not be to everyone's taste but you have to admire the hours he's put in to practicing; anyone who thinks it's easy is either Steve Vai's undiscovered clone or full of it and living in a dream world ........Look at those TV talent shows: all those awful tone-deaf singers who think they are wonderful musicians ............. It's all relative, sadly.

...then you get to precision, then dynamic range and compilation, then tone control and all the little constant improvements to playing that makes a great guitarist. Some people are naturals at it, others require more practice, but all can get it if they try hard enough. I was playing this stuff in about 3 to 4 years, and have been playing now for almost 12 years - and spending nearly all of these last eight years trying to put control and intonation into my playing - it's a never-ending learning curve. I'm not in a band anymore 'cause I'm an engineer and don't have the time or want to make the commitment, but believe me this is not that difficult for even a guitarist of 2 years or so. If you want to hear amazing speed, control and sheer talent listen to Satriani, Skolnick, Vai, Malmsteen or Wylde...they have that in spades, and speed to blow this guy's pickups off. But, in all fairness, this guy's not bad...but not jaw-dropping either.

Youre talking about tapping, and yes that is easy. But if you would examine the video closer you will see he pulls off some kickass shredding... Which is not easy. Ive been playing for three months now and i can shred, but a piece like that would take ages to perfect. He is an absolute genius. I hate people like you, who try to pull flaws out of peoples talent out of your insecurity. You have no right to make comments like that, sure, you can tap, but try to compose something like that.

Its funny the Victor Wooten gets more out of his 4 string bass then this guy gets out of his guitar.

Horseonovich will teach you something .... you could not duplicate that in several weeks if u had never played before, it takes months/years to build up picking speed and accuracy, no matter how talented you are, there is no single guitarist who will say picking speed comes in no time, as does accuracy, it takes alot of hard work and dedication to build up. This is good, and he is entertaining, and hes on stage for a reason
